If ya don't mind me asking :)

1) What kind of skimmer are you planning on?

2) Do you have a sump design in plan & what type?

3) What type of overflow are you going with on your tank?

4) Which return pump and how do you plan on setting it up?

5) Are you still planning on going MH for this tank. The first time we met you said something about wanting to try MH. The frags you gave me are doing great but I think they would have done 2x better under T5's. You'll see them if you help move my tank.

6) What brand and size Calcium Reactor are you planning on? I'm saving up for Geo's 614 or 18.

7) What type & brand top off are you planning?

8) What type of water movement are you looking for and do you plan on have any types of powerheads inside the tank?

Beings we will both have the same tanks I thought we could compare the diffrent set up's and help each other out along the way. I know your's in going in the wall and will most likely not be standing as tall as mine.

Re: Hey mpcart

I'm afraid you are much farther along than I am. I'm still sweating the thought of moving my current tank and haven't had too much time to do detailed planning on the new one.

I've just about settled on the same tank you got with three sides low-iron. I'd like either a Calfo-style overflow or an external overflow but I seem to remember reading somewhere that glasscages won't do external overflows.

I'll probably go with the Octopus DDNW-250 skimmer and either a GEO or DIY calcium reactor. No sump design although I did purchase a 70Gal rubbermaid and 75 gallon tank (yes, I'm the guy that caused all the problems in beaker77's thread). I'll use the 75gallon to help with the move and then probably convert it to a frag tank or fuge.

I don't have any idea what return pump I'll use. I'll probably use Tunze's for circulation.

I haven't thought about a topoff system but I'll be lucky enough to have a floor drain, sink, and RO/DI unit right behind the tank. I still top off by hand daily on my current tank.

I'm still debating lighting. I've had really good growth with my T5's but I love the look of MH. I'm pretty sure I'll go with MH.

It's going to be a while before I get going on the new tank - too much other stuff to worry about right now. I haven't even decided if I'll transfer stuff from the small tank when i upgrade or if I'll keep the small tank just like it is.

Well when you get to the planning point, just give me call. Beings that I'm ahead of ya for now, you can see how I set mine up once it's here. Maybe that will give you some Ideas on which way you want to go. I guess I'm like you, I've had the MH and now I want to try the T 5's  but vise versa.
