Hi Fin Red Banded Goby jumper?

So I have had this fish for over a month in my 10g nano reef. I have a lid for the tank currently but I would like to run the tank open on top. Does this fish have a tendency to jump out of tanks?

Mine did, was fine for ages and then just found it all crispy one morning. Personally wouldn't risk it.

Mine jumped out of a tiny opening in my QT tank. Have you looked into mesh tops? I made mesh tops for my 150 and they worked great for keeping my anthias in and weren't an eyesore.

Any fish is a potential jumper. Gobies are better than a lot of other fish at it (not as good as wrasses, but better the most).

Yeah I actually made my own mesh top for it out of a reptile cage. The part that I had to cut around for my lights, filter etc. has started to rust though because it is no longer protected... I didn't really think that through. I was thinking about making my own acrylic top for it but would enough oxygen get in through my HOB filter? My buddy did this for his 55g and it looks great.

Yes, all fish can jump. If the opportunity to leave presents itself, you may find it on the floor.
