Welcome. Beautiful tank, I especially LOVE that yellow coral in the first image, it's simply stunning.

Nice! Does your sun coral stay open like that all day? Any tips on how to get it to stay open?

Thanks for all the nice comments.

My sun coral isnt like that all day. I get home from work at 4pm and give my fish the second feed of the day, and also add some cyclop-eeze (once skimmer is turned off as i dont want it to remove it all, i leave the skimmer off untill i can see most of the cyclop-eeze has be removed from the water.) Within 10-15 mins my sun coral is fully open like that and then stays open all day. If i dont feed it it opens slightly but not fully untill the lights go off. I tend to feed my sun coral 2-3 times a week directly to each polyp with mysis. Seems to be working very well, especially as i can see lots of new baby polyps growing.

Hope that helps.

Oh and i just thought, my sun coral is in direct light (even though lots of people say they should be in caves/shaded areas. Its also in a fairly good flow. Once open all polyps gently swaying around.

Just over 2'x2'x2' though middle of next week this tank will be starting to come to pieces, as my 5'x2'x2' is arriving.

Beautiful tank!

I'm new to the whole marine stuff, so I have no idea what the names are to what you have.
But in that first pic of your tank, what is that huge tree thing on the right? It's so tall!
Thanks

Hi thanks for the comments, the coral your talking about is a Leather Mushroom/Toadstool or Sarcophyton sp. :)
