Hi Mobile Reefers

Hi all I am Mike. I live in Mobile and have been in the hobby for around 4 years. I have a 34g JBJ that has been up and succesful for around 18 months, recently upgraded lighting to LED and love it. I am about to start either a 75g or a 90g, my main goal for the new tank will be, Live Rock, Live Sand, and a ton of Ricordeas, Zoas and Acan Lords. I will be building my own LED set up for the tank as I do not like Halides as I have small children. I will have a Sump and a Refugium/Quarantine tank. Not really into having alot of fish, just a few laid back ones to complement the corals. I may also keep a few mini giant clams. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure if this is good advice or not, but I would go with the 75 if fish aren't your main concern. The added depth of the 90 will only make you need stronger lighting requirements (24" compared to 20"). It is something to think about anyways.

On the other hand, a local reefer (Montgomery) has a 90 he is trying to sell. Complete set up with fish and rock (and sump, skimmer, etc.) for around $500-$600, I think. He's getting out. Has 250W MH for it (included).
