Hey, I was just told about this little place by Mr. Fewell cause I buy all my salt stuff from him.

I also recognize Shaar becuase I am on another forum he is on.

I also run a gun enthusists forum if anyone's interested. I won't post it cause I don't know if the admins would like that.

Does this group have another forum or do you guys just use this one?

Here is what I have:
nano-cube with 2 seahorses, scooter blenny, and the normal clean up crew.

Just set-up a FOWLR 55 gallon that I got from Fewells, and put a royal grandma in there.

55 pics:

I will post more of the new fish and the nano cube later. The water isn't cloudy anymore thats when I set the tank up a while ago.
'
Next things I am ordering today are a aquasilencer and a float switch from lifereef

Then I will be getting lights and I think thats all I need.

Thank you, and here is my website www.mwguns.com

Dunno if I am supposed to post it but i'll see if it gets removed.

If you guys need some help on your site or forum, I know some stuff mainly editing in flash and things like contribute and know some people that no a bunch about programming etc... Just let me know.

More info on me: Grew up in St. Louis, my brother has extremely large salt tanks, he got me into it. I goto OTC down here and work in IT User Support at OTC.

Your tank looks pretty nice! Is that a SEIO I see on the left hand side? I am impressed with your sump.
So YOU put together that site (mwguns)? Looks clean and nice!
As far as our (The SEAS) website goes, I think John Kelly is the administrator for it (I think he said there were some issues with hacker-types making the site asian porn or something). I think it's safe to assume that your contributions would be appreciated. I'd love to see our own site up again - although I think most in the group use this forum to communicate with fellow local reefers. I used to go on saltwaterfish.com and fishheads.org - but I'm quite fond of RC.
I'd like to see you nano pics.
Thanks for posting!

Steve, the NC pictures are the pictures I posted with the Seahorses in it. Just an FYI

For the website hacking, that should be something the hosting company takes care of. I'd recommend going with a company like midphase. If someone runs the site off there own machine then there are ways to harden it. Pretty much if it's getting hacked tell the hosting company to fix it, if they won't go somewhere else.

For the forums, if he is using PHP BB there are many ways so only certain people can join. I can actually host a local board and/or website from my hosting company if you guys would be interested or you could move the site. But it's totally up to the owners, so if they want to contact me about it tell them I'm right here, and I would be more than happy to, or just help out if need be.

That is a SEIO power head (820GPH), my website mwguns was done from a template I bought so I won't take 100% credit for it, but I did edit the flash and the site with macromedia flash 8, and contribute 3. The PHP BB forums are easy for anyone to set up.

OHH, the logo on my forums was totally done by me though. :)

I have some mwguns stuff on cafepress myself and I will say I ordered a mouse pad, stickers and magnets that came out looking excellent, there at loftis pawn brokers at the gun section if you buy a gun I believe. I also got a teddy bear with my logo lol.

I also set this site up from a template http://www.swmopi.mwguns.com/

but it never took off so I am closing it and cancled the domain name I had for it. But I still think it looks cool.

hey whats up man :) i thought you already knew about this site man, well i guess you do now haha.

i've also got a 55 thats been up for a while and i just set up a nano. fixing some kinks in my nano right now, and just upgraded lighting on my 55, so all goes well.

hit me up sometime, are you still in the same apartments?

yea definately... hopefully i'll find a day this week to swap my stands and retrofit my lights in the canopy, and clean the room, then it will be show worthy :D

i'm wanting a frag swap sometime soon. didn't those used to happen here every once in a while?

Well, we got all our fish for are 55 gallon FOWLR. I am still a little upset cause I wanted to do a reef tank. But I did save about 1k on lights I would have bought, and the fiance gets what she wants, so she got her puffer and no reef.

so is that just normal output lighting on there? you'd be amazed at the cool macro algae you can grow with that alone - a $200 48" PC setup can get you into soft corals at least...
i'm in for a frag swap - i'll bet we can have a good sized one if we can come up with a time and place.

It is a Current USA 2x65 watt Power compact fixture. It's not long enough I know. I can't do the corals cause the puffers aren't reef safe. (If you were talking to me)

If anyone has any type of 48'' light set-up for sale localy let me know. Be them power compacts, T5's, metal halide, or a combo fixture. Let me know.

i dont have much to frag really... xenia haha and i still have that little colt i got from you.

xenia
colt
zoo's
ricordias (still have only 4 of em)
some fuzzy mushrooms
kenya tree
green and purple star polyps (this i can frag)
a fuzzy leather (i'll trade this off, maybe it will do better in another tank)
yellow polyps

all relatively small except for the yellow polyps and star polyps and xenia. but i'm sure something is worth trading.

also, deadeye, i was going to sell my 2x65, but i may keep it to retrofit into my canopy. i'll let you know if anything changes

About a frag swap. I'm going to talk to Matt tomorrow and see what I can do. I'll post a new thread w/some info when I get it, how's that sound?

If you're looking for a 48", I do think Matt has a 48" used PC for $50, or at least he did have up at the store. You might give him a shout and see tomorrow.

i bought that pc he had up there this morning. needs some new bulbs but it was a good deal for me, i'll get bulbs later for it, plus it's going to be taken apart and retrofitted into the canopy as well
