High PH and dKH? need to lower!

What is the best way to lower both PH and dKH? Mine is way too high?

and dosing calcium depending on what your levels are

what is you ph, dkh, calcium, salinity? how do you check your salinity?

sg is 1.025, i don't know what ph is, the test went to a royal blue color and mine was purple, its prob over 8.5. dkh is 17, calcium is 320. I was using hagen/nutrifin tests. I check sg with a swing arm hydrometer

ive been using some crappy tests, I knew this would happen.

i would do some water changes to bring it down, and on anoher day dose calcium since that is low as well. if this is a reef tank you should reguraly be dosing calcium and buffer, while watching levels to keep them in a reasonable range. this will provide the best growth and less algae isues as well.

ok I will do that i just dont know how accurate the hagen/nutrifin tests are.

What about adding selzer water in moderation to lower ph and dkh, has anyone ever done this?

Alkalinity will come down by itself. Just don't add any supplement for it. Bring up your calcium to 420. What time did you test the pH (lights on or off)?

today at about 2 with the lights on. I just bought those tests today, i was using test strips before.
