Activated carbon is one of the necessary components for the smooth functioning of a marine reef aquarium.
It's one of the fundamentals of the Berlin Method, a method that has allowed us for the first time to keep corals in an aquarium.
It counters the chemical warfare of corals, absorbs potential pollutants, makes the water clearer and is a great help in case of unexpected problems in the aquarium.
Just remember to change it once a month and to use it preferably in a fluid bed filter.
