What is a good site to idenify the unknown? I have some yellow polups and on the rock looks like hard small branches of something that is very dark red purple. Cant get a good pic of it.Thank you

Does the small red thing look like this?

I was told it's a worm of some time. Harmless if there are a few but if they get out of hand it can be a pest. Mine has not gotten to that point.

Thes are are harmless filter feeder that leaves a spider web looking thing in your tank.

Thanks still cant find anythng like it wish I could great a good pic of it.Not a worm very hard and spikey. alot of tiny branches. Oh well just keep an eye on it. It hasnt seemed to grow any in the month that I have had it
