For all who can help...I greatly appreciate it.
What really concerns my about the crab are it's red eyes and dark claws. I just need to know if this crab will be harmful to my mini reef ecosystem...It's been up for over 2.5 years and it's my first time noticing him. Nice looking crab IMO.
Here's the description:
Color: Purple and white banded body with RED eyes.
Claws: Dark colored at the tips and purple.
Shape: Very similiar to the Emerald Crab but smaller in size and great looking coloration (blends in with the coralline algae growth of my live rocks).
Location: Inside a small burrow in the rocks underneath my millepora colony...could this mean trouble?
I so wish I had a camera to capture a snap. Okay I see two of them in the same location. Big and small...possibly Mommy and Pappy. I really don't want to tear down my display because of these two.
