Hitchhiker Crab ID?

I'm pretty certain it's not a good thing, but so far it hasn't hurt anything (that I'm aware of)

Any ideas what he is?

He's about the size of a quarter and pretty much hides in that hole all the time, never seen him out and about.

generally all crabs will be concidered risky. often though you can place the new crab into your sump, where you can enjoy your new friend in an area where he cant cause trouble. that is of course if you can capture him without damaging him.
im pleased you were able to take a clear picture, lots of ID pics are blurry.. i dont have a definity ID for you though.

i think this crab would do well in your refugium were he cant harm your corals or fish, IF he were to do so.

I had one that appears to be the same, i nicknamed him a "dreamsicle crab" he was emerald shaped orange and kinda tan/white with beaty red eyes. I notices allot of zoos missing when i had him , but did not see him eat anything. He only moved at night and feeding time. I finally chushed him after trying for about a year. I recomend the glass trick to get him out, simply take a drinking glass and put food in it. Lean the glass near his rock if possible @ 45 degree angle. Make the top acessable from a rock, he will get in chasing the food, and won't be able to climb out. I am a firm believer in the " if it has hair beware" rule for crabs.
