well I found a mojano anemone, and when to nuke it, but it retracted into a hard skeleton. it looks like a green zoo kinda but about a half inch wide. ill try to take some pics tonight but no promises. Any ideas?

If you can take the rock out of the water and squirt kalk or liquid calcium on it and let it soak in for like a minute before returning the rock that always does the trick with plain aiptasia for me.... I bet it'll soak in enough to kill that guy too.

but is it an anemone??? they dont have skeletons do they? i remember this rock, and it never used to have a skeleton on it, so like it isnt like an anemone took up residence or something. I guess ill have to get some pictures.

Can you tell if the skeleton belongs to the creature in question or if it's just something it's inhabiting? Yeah... I've never heard of an anenome with a skeleton.

Sounds like a worm of some kind, but then again, I don't know what most of the stuff in my tank is! LOL

if so it is a solitary cup coral or ( acanthastrea echinata)

nope thanks though I was gonna say its not a cup coral but I couldnt remember the name. I love those things. got some for my friend from a member. It has that same skeleton though. I dont think it is an anemone since I stabbed it with a needle b4 i found out it has a skeleton and it didnt move lol.
