Hole on Duncan coral skeleton?

Hey guys, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I did until finding this little hole on the skeleton of my Duncan coral. The rest of the colony is ok and they readily accept food. I want to know what could do something like this. The picture shows the hole. Your help is much appreciated.

I'm on my phone. Is it a hole or an area without tissue? From my phone it looks like an area that either has not encrusted yet or may have been damaged and just needs time to heal

It's on an area without soft tissue. The hole is kind of hard to notice within zooming in. I forgot to include the parameters for what it is worth.

PH 8.2 (Red Sea)
KH 11 (Red Sea)
Ca 485 (Red sea)
Mg 1480 (Red Sea)
NO3 0 (salifert)
PO4 0 (salifert)
NH4 0 (API)
NO2 0 (API)

Thanks

The coral appears other wise healthy and I would not be concerned about the hole.
There are numerous boring worms and other inverts, identifying the culprit would be based purely on speculation. Personally I would leave well enough alone, parameters appear good although I would not let the ALK drift much higher.

It does seem like a matter of probability that I happen to look upon the coral at the precise moment some critter is tunnelling through the skeleton. I will take your advice and keep the KH between 10-11. Thanks.
