Hole size???

Wanting to do the Calfo overflow. Do I need 1'' hole for a 20l or should I do 3/4"?

I'll go with the 1". Looking for a skimmer on the cheap. Looking at biocube
and the aquaeuro usa. Any suggestions there?

Biocube skimmers are just airstone skimmers .. u could make one cheaper thar works better than those. If u want cheap then look on amazon there's some cheap skimmers there but I'm sure they wont work as good as a $200+ skimmer. But for cheap I'm sure they work well emough for a 20 g tank
