Hopeful future TBS customer with questions

I had emailed Richard but realized he may be busy getting my future rock! :) ...and thought why not ask in this incredible forum? I apologize in advance if I've posted this in the wrong place or if this question has been answered.

I have been keeping a reef tank for almost 2 years now (coral life 150MH,Acua C remora, approx 30-40 lbs of live rock, 1 clown, 1 serpent star, 6 purple colt, 1 capnella, 1 xenia colony and several red a green mushroom, about a doz blue leg hermits, 3 astrea snails). I'm getting ready to move to my new home and thought it a good time to upgrade my tank. I have been reading a great deal about TBS rock (all great). I intended on ordering about 50lbs of rock and 25 lbs of sand, I'm not thinking the a 25 - 30 gal package will be the way I go. I intend on doing this withing a few weeks of moving to the new house and my animals into a 55gal tank.

Sorry for the longwindedness but I don't know what i don't know and it's making my question (that i haven't asked yet) inefficient. Ok here goes....

Would it be advisable to cycle the live rock in a separate tupperware tub? I'd hate to cause harm to any of my animals. Would I get two shipments? I will read more on Reef Central but thought to myself that you seem very intent on making the experience a good one for your customers and I don't want my ignorance to cause any misteps on my part.

Thanks.

Easy to do!

Easy to do!

Best way to do this is to get your tank re set up.....at your new place....let it cycle....then you can add my rock and sand with no issues....just be ready to make water changes if you have too.

Usually water changes are not needed when adding my rock to an established system...but be ready if you have too.

Never, ever, put my rock in a 'separate' container, as this rock requires a stable, cycled water column to survive, and trying to 'hold' it will kill it.

All that you have read about 'cycling' ...'curing' rock does not apply to my rock!
