I know you can fix them if they break in the middle... I don’t know why there’s no glass bar to hold the top together.

Go to a glass shop have them cut you 3 or 4 1/4 " strips 2x what ever the length of the tank is and silicon them in each end and 2 in the middle

I've seen acrylic screwed into the trim, but I would bar clamp it if its currently running.

Yeah I’m definitely clamping it! I’m going to go with just gluing it to the glass right under the trim and maybe one in the middle on the trim?

Would any waterproof glue work?

I had that happen to my 55 gal I had a metal strap with two pieces of angle iron welded on ends then pushed down over rim still holding 5 years later (________)

Glue alone will not work, last thing you want is a full tank and a snap sound to tell you that.

Thanks but I have multiple pieces of 1/4 inch acrylic long enough to fit over the black frame to cover the old ones. Just need to get up the courage to actually do it
