I had a small colony of hydnophora coral (horn coral) They have amazing Bright Neon Green color. They are kind of like a SPS coral, mid to strong light, mid to high flow. At night they have pretty aggressive stinging tentacles. fast grower.
Hydnophora rigida, aka Horn coral is an SPS, with all the similar requirements, i.e. light, flow, food, etc. I do have one, its powder blue in color, very aggressive, and seems to be slow growing.
I am not sure which one are you refering to in the pic? the green/blue one in the center looks like a pearl bubble coral. then I see the zoas, and the green mushroom in the back.
The what you called green and blue one. I have the same as my friend and his looks like the pic I'm gonna post. It did let out stingers like a mushroom would if its played with too much.
I like the look of my hydnphora but man is it aggressive. I had to sandwich it between some palys and lps to get it to stop spreading out toward my sps. I know a buddy of mine got a needle like sting from his that took weeks to heal.
they do branch out, but it is their tentacles that is aggressive. 6 inches + possibility.
I love my neon green hydnophora, but they are worse than my hammers and torches
