Good evening everyone, one of Europe's largest aquarium shop is near my home, sells horseshoe crabs for some time and they interest me, I wanted to know what I had to feed them, their needs ...
Thanks !

They eat worms in the sandbed, they are doomed to starvation when they run out.

These should be left in the ocean. Plus they get huge.

During the mid 1980's I had a few Horseshoe crabs that were approx. 8 inches from tip of the tail to their head. They need lots of room and had a tendency to get stuck between rock work, requiring daily rescue missions to free them.

Yes I understand, but even if I nourishes properly, gives it a sandy beach, she may live? Because they hurt me to the heart all piled in the sales tank ...

Horseshoe crabs grow very big, eat tons of food only found in the sandbed, and then starve because it's impossible to keep up with their diet.

Unless you can buy 100 lbs of sand weekly to feed these guys, it's not going to work out too well. It's better to not show demand for them.

I have mine eating frozen mysis that I stuck in the sand bed with feeding tongs. Sometimes it takes them a minute to find it unless you put the food right next to it.

I rescued one and as long as you imitate the worms in the sand bed with the frozen it will eat almost any kind if chopped to a fine consistency. If you really have to have one then that is what you should do. If you follow those instructions it has a good shot at living. This is mine.
