Yesterday I picked up 4 Tierra Anthias and one Leopard Wrasse.\
All five ate at the store. I brought them home. I have a hospital tank that was set up. I pulled approx 7 gallons from my display during a small water change.
Salinity matched for the Anthias at 1.025. The Leopard was coming from 1.20.
All five were floated for temp. Then the anthias were dropped into the tank since paramaters were matched. The leopard had cups of water moved into his bag prior to introduction to raise his salinty.
Inside the QT three of the Anthias became active over the course of an hour and also ate. The fourth hid and never hate in my QT.
The leopard was busy swimming around the tank and also ate some food, not a lot, but did eat a few mysis.
QT is made of 20gallon high, pvc, heater, bubbler, ammonia badge, and a small power head.
I'm feeding small amounts of frozen mysis that has been thawed with Selco. In the QT i'm using a spoon and pulling maybe 5-6 mysis at a time so I can easily watch whos eating and whos not.
This morning, the fourth anthias was found trying to hide and is breathing heavily and is lethargic. The leopard was also hiding.
Only the three anthias ate this morning.
I did check for Ammonia this morning and I got a .25ppm reading. It's API so it was only a faint green. Could've been less.
I pulled another 5 gallons from the display into the QT, which should bring me up to about 13 gallons total water. I, also, dosed a half cap of Prime for the ammonia.
I suppose my question, after all of this, is what do you make of the behavior of the two non-active fish?
I have PraziPro on hand and was planning on running a few rounds but I'm not sure if I should hold off until all fish are eating and behaving normally.
How would you proceed and what would you look for? Thank you in advance.
