i had been lighting this tank for 6 hours with a 250w phoenix hqi de 14k w/ t5 supplementation, but it proved to be too much light. a lot of my lps washed out...heck, even the only monti in the tank washed out!

recently i switched the t5 bulbs to 1 50/50 bulb and 1 super actinic bulb. i now run those for 8 hours and run the halide for only 2 hours. things seem much happier. the color of the phoenix is just awesome imo!
