House tenting -termites

I'm getting ready to have my house tented and I plan on sealing the tank with plastic and running air lines and a chiller. My question is what size air pump will I need and do I place the line in the tank with air stones or try and blow up a plastic "bubble" around the tank? Will the air pump in the link below work? I plan on keeping my return running.
Also, will a 1/3 drop in chiller work ok in my 90 degree house on my 180 tank? FYI, its a FOWLR tank.

How about a tent less fumigation I had it done at my house guy got in attic with a sprayer and treated all the trusses and then injected door frame with some type of foam then sprayed all the corners of the house this was about 5 months ago haven't seen any evidence of termites or roaches I can give you his #1 you would like I told that top priority was my tank and he assured me that tank would be safe and still is

if I remember right OP got a special plastic from the exterminator, but I may be wrong...again!! lol

may want to seal the sump and tank and give it a dry run, unless you are running a syphon overflow (herbie), a draining overflow may suck the air out of the tank bubble and put it in the sump??

that air pump should be fine, the OP in the link borrowed an air pump from me, was something similar to this

hope this helps

I tented my 300 a few months ago I used 2 fairly strong pumps about the same size or smaller and took the sump offline. Was a bubble to some degree on the tank image-3890854454.jpg I also left my frag tank completely off line and unprotected and the corals survived. However some dead hermits fouled the water so it got pretty nasty. But I don't think coral is really effected just motile inverts and fish

Thanks for the pic of your sealed tank, that's helpful. What did you do about the overflow? Wouldn't the gas get from below the tank through the overflow and into the DT? Also, do I need an air pump? Can I just use my ecotech mp40s to agitate the water?

My basic understanding is:

- turn off return pump
- turn off sump/skimmer
- place heater and power heads in DT to circulate water and agitate for o2
- wrap dt around with the bags
- what to do about the overflow and pipes?

I have done this twice in the last 10 years or so.
I covered the tank and sealed with duct tape on the floor. Set up a Whisper air pump outside the house with a super long airline into the tank. Turned all equipment off except one mp40 for circulation. That was enough on a 210.
Temperature was a concern but surprisingly the temperature swing was minor. I suppose the tent also insulates.
Check with the company tenting, some companies like to turn off the power.

If you cover the tank and seal it to the floor, doesnt the gas penetrate the floor and wood and creeps into the sump/overflow and thereby getting into the display tank? The way it was explained to me, the gas goes through all wood and pourous material. Obviously the plastic will sheild the tank but what about the floor itself that the stand sits on top?
