I know this probably isnt the forum for this or even why i would post this in here. But everytime i post in here i get really good advice. So i thought what the heck.

When I first got into this hobby i was told never to mess with the sand bed and let it do its thing. But i was recently told that your suppose to clean it (Syphon) like fresh water. Is this true or should i just keep everything the way i have it.

Im curious to see what everyones opinion is on this.

I think the best and probably easiest solution would be to get some critters (certain types of snails are great for this) that will sift and aerate your sand bed. If you mix it up too fast or too much, you could potentially open up a pocket of some pretty bad anaerobic bacteria, especially if you have a DSB.
