fyi, that peppermint is probably feasting.

umm, nope.

it got sucked in after i saw it stop squirming and quivering.

Heh, that's kinda funny. My one pep kept picking at my BTA, so I moved it to another tank. Unfortunately my anemone wasn't big enough to handle the situation on its own.

Weird. I put my new gbta in the tank yesterday and my peppermint was all over it. I caught it immediately and threw it in the refugium, but my shrimp has strait gone bonkers lately. I couldent feed my coral anymore because it would rip thru theyre mouths for it. Glad its gone.

It eats aptasia like a king though. guess if I ever see more Ill have to put it in the sump lol

Yep mine was doing that same thing, except it would stand right on top of the bubble tip, and reach into its mouth for the food.

it's a funny and sad pic at the same time...

i had a peppermint 'encourage' the death of a blue carpet.

thus, when i first saw this...i went oh %$@#! now i have to try and get the stupid peppermint out to prevent it from killing the anemone.

but as the shrimp was attacking it, i saw it trying to get away and not get stung and stuck by its tentacles.

next thing you see is it squirming, then it got sucked in and started twitching...then the twitching stopped. got the camera and took some pics.

i've had some peppermints that will be a total menace to anemones and corals. it is a hit and miss with them.

mine is a jerk.. hes killed 2 btas and several corals... every time i feel like i am ready to try a nem again i remember that damn peppermint shrimp...

I lost a cleaner shrimp when he tried to snatch my S.Hadonnis meal.:D..My carpet got a 2 for 1 deal.

I had a cleaner shrimp that thought he could steal the GLTA meal anytime he wanted and would walk across the GLta anytime it wanted with no fear of getting eaten, Guess What! He did it once too much and became the GLta's supper!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just recently discovered my peppermint queen sticking her pincers into my RBTA's mouth stealing its dinner.
So I put a piece of silverside on the giant pincers and lured her away to another part of the tank with her dinner.
The very next night I saw her patiently waiting at the feeding station for the giant pincer to bring her another dinner.
Spoiled little brat.

She makes lots of baby peppermints for my clowns and mandarinfish to munch on so I don't want to get rid of her, but I also don't want to have my RBTA die either.
