How are the canon digital rebel(not xt) and canon 10d?

highquality

I found the canon digital rebel(not the xt) and the 10d (canon or nikon....i forgot) ... Are they still performing well for macro?:strooper:

How well they do depends greatly on the lens you choose. Both cameras are quite capable of taking very nice pictures.

If I were to buy a new camera, I'd pick up a 30D versus the two you are thinking about. If you want to save some cash, I'd still buy a used 20D versus the two you are thinking about. Combine those bodies with a dedicated 100 or 180 macro lens and you'd have a nice set up.

The differences between the sensor on the 20D and the XT are virtually nil. Pick the one that feels best in your hand.

I use a 10D and I get the results I want. I know people with every other camer and they also get the macro results they want. So, at the end of the day, it's all about the person (well the lens has a little to do with it too).

Now that you have made the purchase, go out and take photos and enjoy your purchase, no need to ponder over it any longer!

Whoa, whoa, whoa...I wouldn't say they are virtually nil! Clearly the sensors are different and clearly the build quality of the two are significantly different. (Just trying to defend my 20D. :D ) But as stated earlier, pick the one that feesl best in your hand. The limiting factor of any camera is almost always the glass (lens) over the body. With 20D's going for about $700 used and $1100 new these days, it's worth going the extra mile and picking one up over the XT...but of course, it's your money, not mines.

i love my 10d....i will post pics when i get home. personaly i like the better build quality of the 10d. wish it could do ef-s thouqh.

in the end the photographer will make the bigest diff
