I want know know if this alga in my sump is responsible for significant calcium consumption, I have cheato and am considering pulling the prolifera if its using alot of calc.

thanks

Cualerpa is not a calcearous algae and would only place small or no demand on calcium. Soft corals do use calcium, but if you feel you have a high calcium demand and no calcium using corals then I would look to coraline algae, if its growing well then it can put quite a demand on calcium alkalinity and magnesium.
