How do hermit crabs reproduce?

I gotta hear the answer.
BTW, why the heck are you thinking bout this friday after midnight? What kind of sick perv are ya?

It is pretty close to impossible in a normal aquarium. If you have fish, forget about it. Try doing a google search on the particular type of hermit you want to know about it. :)

I see little hermits in my tank all the time, the ones I do have arent that tiny. The small ones have to come from somewhere right?

I have heard of people saying that they see a clutch of eggs on the abdomen of their hermit crabs. They see them when the shell is over turned and the crab has to come out a significant amount to reach the substrate/rock to correctly orient itself. My guess would be some sort of external fertilization, but that is purely a guess.
