How do I catch an Emerald Crab?

I have a lot of rock and the crab does not come out in the open frequently.

Is there some sort of trap? If so, what would I use as bait?

put some food in a jar, put the jar at a 45 degree angle in your tank, the crab will climb in to get the food but won't be able to get up the smooth glass.

Just so you know, every other snail and crab in your tank will make there way in there too.

Use a glass jar, and not just on the tank, leaned up against a piece of live rock.

I have grabbed them with my hands. They don't pinch hard enough to hurt you

If you're lucky, you can sometimes just grab the entire rock they are on and put it in spare saltwater in a bucket, then shoo them off the rock.
