how do i get my sps polyps to extrend

i have some millies and a green slimmer when i bought them the polyps were huge! but now even after 2 months they are still small... how can i make then extend more? its a 150g with 2 mp40s and a 1200gph return pump. anythoughts?

water chemistry, lighting, irritation(fish,invert) could be things to look into. or sometimes things just take a while to settle in

do you have any fish who nips at them? removal of those may be the only solution. Otherwise it may just be a question of waiting. I once received a tenuis frag who had a rough time in shipping, it took 2 months to see some poylps

ya none of my fish nip, all of them are calm tangs and anthias not stocked heavily. lighting is 2 400 watt radiums. nitrate is 0, ammonia 0, calcium 420, and alk is 9.6, temp 79

What kind of flow do you have them in? Where are they placed in the light?

i have the same issue, with a milli, been 3 months of so very minimal polyp ext, lots of encrusting growth, moved to an even higher flow area but still not much extension. healthy and growing though???

its right undernieth my mp40 any more flow would be direct flow. and its about 8 inches from the surface directly under my 400
