How Do I Get Rid Of Coraline Algae On The Glass?

I am looking for a better way of ridding myself of Coraline algae that has formed on the glass. I currently use an old credit card to scrape it off, but I think the movement is disturbing the tank so much. I have hear a razor blade is better, but I would prefer a natural way of doing it if possible. I also have a ton of rocks and corals that are close to the glass where my hand can't reach down and scrape it very well. Any suggestions.

Kent )and probably a few other manufacturers) makes a plastic scraper with a replaceable metal blade. A bit safer than using a razor blade and you can buy them with various length handles.

No more natural, but probably easier.

A natural approach might be to use urchins...several species will eat coralline...but they will eat from rocks as well as glass and can also knock rocks and corals over as they graze.

1/2 cpvc pipe long enought to reach to the bottom of your tank, cut a slot 1/2" from the bottom at one end with a saw on an angle to hold the razor blade. happy scrapeing
