How do I know if my HAddoni Died?

I know what a dead sebae anemone looks like, but what does a Haddoni/carpet anemone look like when dead? I got a green carpet anemone from LA about four days ago and today it is all deplated and not anchored to anything. Don't have pics because my computer is acting up and not reading my memory card from my camera. Any info helps. Thanks

i just got a haddonni and trying to get him settled in.i did get a bta about7 months and in a few days the thing turned itself inside out.also alot of white stringy(guts)from its mouth.color turns brown.and it will stink bad.thats all iknow hope its not dead.if it is you do want to pull it as soon as you know.it could kill other tank inhabitants on the way out.

If it starts to fall apart then you KNOW! Best thing to do touch the tentacles and see if you get a response if it fills lame and no sting then keep a close eye on it cause it will pollute the tank if it dies! Then if it does water changes and lots of carbon !!!!Good luck!

Tangwich, hang in there as long as possible- keep a close on on him and if he breaks free from the rock he's on, retrieve him and hold him on the rock gently and see if he'll reattach. Make sure he 's getting strong light and good flow. Don't consider him lost until you literally see him disintegrating- then move quickly to remove him from the tank.

I have had the anemone for about 4 days now and still isn't attached to anything, but the colors are still bright and the mouth looks normal, my Onyx pair still host so other than it not attaching itself to anything/LR, it looks to be ok. I guess I just have to wait it out, huh?

Have you placed it on the sand near rocks. They don't generally attack to an open surface

Exactly, all 3 of mine are right at the rock/sand interface.

Yes, it is right at the base of rock but yet on the sand still. Could high nitrates have anything to do with it not looking like it's going to make it? My ammonia and nitrites are at 0 but nitrates are a bit high.
