How do I know if my Sea Hare is dead

I picked up a Sea Hare at the local LFS yesterday to address a hair algae problem I am having. I acclimated it and let it go, and it went to town on the Algae, but today it is well looking dead. Having it for less that 24 hours I am not sure what normal behavior is. I am contemplating isolating it just in case it is gone so it will not start decomposing in my tank.

if its not gripping onto any surfaces, moving, or that it feels hard and rubbery as opposed to soft.

Well the he must be a goner...

Any idea what might have taken him out? My water chemistry looks OK. Should I be concerned about adding another right now?
