For my new Stealth Heater, I can't figure out how to get the suction cups onto the brackets such that they will stay on when the brackets are placed on the heater tube.
It's kind of hard to describe, but you place the nub of the suction cup into the hole in the bracket and you turn the suction cup until the lip of the nub is completely in the hole.
Put one side of the nub into the hole on the bracket, and like JLT23 stated, you want to turn the suction cup while keeping pressure. you can use a little tank water to lube up the suction cup. A little lubbie da will work wonders.
ya, just apply pressure and twist the suction cup into the mounting bracket. be sure you put the brackets on the top half of the heater.... i messed that up once and melted the lower bracket...
I remember messing with those things. They were a pain to get on there. I believe I got a small rim of the back of the suction cup through the holder and then took a flathead screwdriver and ran it around the circumference of the holder slowly pulling the suction cup through. Once ther were secured in place they didn't pop back out. Mine have been there for well over a year now.
Put a lil spit on there. Push hard and swist. It's best to do it with the bracket off the heater so you don't take a chance of breaking something important.
