How do you heat your breeder setups without going broke

I used to have a large reef tank in the living room. One night the doorbell rang, it was a neighbor I'd never met. He said he had noticed the halide glow for months but was afraid I might be growing so he didn't introduce himself until he saw evidence of a fish tank. I had left some soiled filter socks in the driveway, he felt safe after that

The last time I was at Tropicorium the ambient temp was 84, Dick and the two employees were all in shorts and tees.

I keep referring back to them, but, I think most all sucessful coral producers within the US are going to emulate them in many ways.Simply because how he has come to what he has and does works. If there was a better, cheaper way he'd do it.

Ok... Yesterday temperature was 105,8F around here and its only the end of WINTER !
I´m starting to get worried about the other end of temperature range. What to do to cool the set up ?

Evaporative cooling is an aditional option, but I don´t know if it will be enough. Any info will be treated as treasure ! :) Is roon cooling lesse expensive than using a water cooler ?

Anderson.

If, by water cooler you mean the water soaked mat that has strong air blown by fan through it they will drop the inside temps by 20 degrees, they are the major source of cooling in the Arava Desert south of the Dead Sea(also Salt Sea) in Israel. When its 100+ outside its a nice lievable 80 inside.

Room heating/cooling is always cheaper then water system cooling or heating.
