How do you know if your T-5,s are overdriven

I have no idea of the make of my fixture. It came with a used tank. It holds 8 39 watt bulbs and has some built in moonlights that don't work Each bulb has an individual reflector. I think the fixture originally was bought on Ebay. Thanks

I don't think any ballast except the icecap ballasts overdrive t5s. Haven't checked ebay ever but I would think any t5 fixtures on ebay would come with standard ballasts instead of the icecaps.

If you can get to the ballast, the manufacturer's label/model # should give you some info via Google.

Only ballasts that overdrive t5's that are usable are URI's and Icecap's, and IC use to make the URI's. If its a fixture its pry not overdriving the bulbs.
