How do you maximize swimming space?

How can I set up live rock in my 125g. to maximize swimming space? Its set up as pillars and arches right now and I was wondering if moving the rock back against the glass would give my HUGE sailfin tang more swimming room?

Guys, you're missing the point. wsz594, create as many caves and openings as possible. Buy some reef safe epoxy and you could get real creative with your shapes and set up.

I know I know I have a 300g but I can't set it up again till I get my own place in July, my mom doesnt want the 300 in her house, this is temporary. He came from a buddy with a 240g that was broken down to upgrade, then he moved instead so he never upgraded. He had him in a 55g holding tank for a month before I got him. He has lived in a aquarium for over 5 years so I hope my cramped quarters for a couple months wont bug him 2 much. Anyway will moving the rock back against the wall help at all
?

Two islands of rock, go as high as you want. Leave swimming room on all sides so the fish can swim along the back glass, the front glass, or do figure 8's between the islands.

This is what I would do. You can add some really short islands for added caves and to make it look nice.
