How do you restrict the growth of Star Polyps and Zoo's

Right now I have had a star poly colony in my tank for over 4 weeks already and it is spreading VERY rapidly. My question is, how do you restrict the growth of the colony so that they don't grow in certain areas? Same thing for the zoo's.

Also the starpolp colony speard across 2 pieces of rubble, how do i separate them so I can put one piece in my other tank to start a colony there, cut it with a razor blade?

A razor blade will do the trick. Keep them on their own islands if you don't want them to smother other corals.

Be careful when slicing the zoo's...toxins. Wear gloves.

in fact, such toxic toxins that you should do it in a different tank to avoid hurting your other corals
