How do you treat for popeye?

I've done a search and everyone that has had this problem doesn't seem to get this question answered. One of my chromis has this condition and I'd like to know how to treat it.

My Hippo Tang had a bad case of popeye and it cleared up over night.

I have used Maracyn II for popeye with great results.

Kanamycin or erythromycin work well. Just be sure not to over medicate as this a strong antibiotic. It won't clear up in a day. It usually takes a couple of weeks. And you need to make sure you keep your water clean.

Minocycline (Maracyn 2) in a QT
Sometimes popeye will improve on its own, but sometimes it worsens and the eye will rot and fall off. So it's best to treat ASAP.
