Hi, with good level of calcium, how fast can a clam grow. I have a crocrea for 2 months and do not see it grow a bit. :-(

LOL well, crocea's are very slow growers. They grow about 1/2" to 1" per year. This is one of the misconceptions that people have thinking a 2"crocea is just a baby and needs supplimental feeding. Not true, a crocea that size is well on it's way.

Your first indications of growth will be nice, new, white shell just underneath the mantle. If you're looking for it, you'll easily be able to tell the difference between new shell and older shell. I was starting to see new growth on my crocea by the two month point. Of course, like skinz78 was saying, croceas are slow growers and the smallest of the "giant" clams. I think their max size is only around 5-6".
