How fast does a clam grow, and other questions...

How fast do the different clam species grow? Are there faster/slower growing ones? What is a good beginner clam? I heard that you are not to place them directly on the sand, is this true?

there are many different types of clams, they grow at different rates. IMO the best beginner clam is T.Derasa.

Placing them on the sand wont hurt them.
