How fast to Maxima grow?

I am wanting a clam for my 36g tank. I considered a crocea, but would prefer a clam that likes to lay on the sand bed. I may just sit a small rock in the sand and do a crocea, but if I get a maxima, how fast do they grow? I know they get up to 1 foot, but is this over like 10 years, or two? I don't want anything that will grow to 1 foot in two years time, as that would look awkward in a 36g tank.

under ideal conditions, they will probably grow 1/2 inch a year, same as the crocea. gigas, squams, and deresas are a different matter.

Maximas are also rock boring clams, but with enough light, they can be in the sand with a rock underneath.
