First of all: Thank goodness for QT. I set up a coral/invert QT a few months back, and boy am I glad I did. I picked up a gorgeous little spongodes frag from an LFS, gave it a quick inspection, dipped it in Bayer, popped it off the frag plug, covered everything that wasn't live tissue with super-glue, and put it on a new plug.
I didn't really inspect it too closely for a few weeks, up until last night. I noticed it was looking pale in a few spots, so I decided to pull it out of the water for a closer look. Nudis! Nudis everywhere!
I gave it a 10 minute Bayer dip (though it only seemed to take ~2 to kill all the adult nudis), and popped it back in QT.
I've seen varying reports about treatment strategies. For those who have successfully treated them, how often did you dip? Every three days?
I thank my lucky starts that I finally decided to set up an invert QT. It would have been a disaster if those little buggers got into my DT!
