Just like the title says.. Any one throw a thermometer in the canopy to see how hot it gets? I just threw mine in and I will have the results in an hour or so... In the mean time anyone else try this?
I have a 120mm fan on mine. It peaks at about 90 degrees inside the canopy with a single 250w DE and two 65w PC's. The fan comes on when the tank hits 79.5 and it never gets above that even in summer. Once the fan comes on the temp drops pretty quickly. The fixture itself has a fan as well, but it never comes on.
Mine topped out at 90 last night also.. This morning it was 82. Tank temp was 77.. I am sure the bathroom fan won't last near as long but if it keeps my tank temp down then that is what I am looking for.
