How long for Haddoni to attach?

I just added a haddoni bought off a local 2 1/2 hours ago, and his foot is still only partially attached. My only other carpet was a gig, and that attached in fifteen minutes. The foot will seem to attach, but as soon as I turn the pump back on it comes right off. Is this normal, or did we possibly damage the foot?

He had no real probs getting it unattached from his tank as it was half on rock and half on the glass bottom, and I had no real issue getting it off of bucket, and it was very sticky when I removed from bucket(Had a heck of a time getting it off my hand). So is this normal or do I have an issue?

alright, some advice needed.

Its now been in for 6 1/2 hours. I got it attached to a rock near the sand, it stayed there with the pump back on for a couple hours but it just detached again. It is deflated, but the mouth is still relatively shut. It hasn't puked anything, so its not terrible yet. I cut off pump and it is partially attached in a good spot at the edge of sand and a rock. What should I do now? I'm thinking it might have foot damage because it keeps attaching on one side and it takes forevor for the other side to attach. Am I right in trying to get it to attach to a rock and not through the sand?

All of the ones that I have had over the years (( that made it that is )) attached within minutes of being released into the tank. I've always tried to create a "cove" of rocks around the sandbed -- placing the anemone in a depression in the sand, right at the rock/sand interface.

To give an idea of what I am talking about -- this is the last one I received, it attached shortly after I put it in the tank, and I could see its foot (( looking under the tank )) attached to the bottom glass shortly after that.

thanks Todd, I'm having serious doubts with this nem. It detached overnight, and is totally deflated. Not sure what went wrong. It was attached to the bucket from the 45 minute drive. It just wouldn't attach in the tank. The mouth is still relatively intact.
