I just moved my yellow tang and domino damsel to my quarentine tank, but I left my two percula's in my main tank. Should I quarentine the clowns too if they are showing no signs of illness?
I used to say take a couple of days to lower the salinity. Now I am less conservative about it. If the pH and temperature is the same then you can drop the salinity immediately. Be sure to use a refractometer as most hydrometers (especially plastic) are too inaccurate. Also check the pH daily and add a buffer as needed.
You should take your time when you bring the salinity back up. Marine fish adjust to a drop in salinity much quicker than a rise in salinity. Take a week to bring the salinity back to NSW when you are finished with treatment.
