How Long to Kill Ich with Cupramine in a Fishless Tank?

Hi All,
If an empty tank has Ich (from fish that were removed a day ago), how long will it take for Cupramine to kill off all remaining Ich to the point it's safe to transfer a fish to this aquarium?

Why do I ask? Here's the longer story. I had 2 fish in the QT and think one or both may have Ich, so I switched them to the Tank Transfer Method (after starting Cupramine a day before before I learned about TTM). So now the QT is empty (water and sponge filters are running). I have a yellow clown goby in my small DT that I think has flukes or something. So I want to transfer it to the QT, but don't want to expose him to Ich. How long should I wait? And right now, Cupramine is at the half dose. So I assume I would need to up the dose to full strength? Thanks,

40 days to be sure. Or You can scrub with vinager or Clorox and let it dry to make sure there are no patogend in it. Throw away the sponges.

Wow, that's a lot longer than I would have thought. I understand keeping a DT fallow for that long (because you aren't treating it), but even a QT with Cupramine in it?

Cooper only kills free swimming ick. Technically it will be a shorter time. Because there are no fish, but do you want to risk it?

If the alternative is the goby dying in the DT, then yes. :)

Plus, I'm not sure yet what the yellow clown goby has. It might even be Ich. I see little raised spots on it, but they aren't white (maybe that's just because of the yellow color of the fish). I need to figure out for sure what the goby has... I'll look around. Thanks,

With the clean and disinfect method you can move the goby next day. Same day if I'm a rush.

Thanks, I decided the best thing would be to do the TTM method that I'm already doing with the other fish (since I just started). :) And in the meantime, I can shut down and dry out the main QT. Thanks,
