how long to QT??

i put my two clowns in my QT tank so that i could treat them for ick.. which they have... i am using a copped based medication and i dont know how long i have to leave them in the QT tank for ... i dont want to leave them in too long... or even for too short a period so that they dont get cured from it....???

The time you shoule leve them in there is 4-6 weeks AFTER the last sign of the infestation.

QT is usullay for 4-6 weeks longer if needed. If on the 3 week of the 4-6 weeks you see them reinfested or something new you treat them then start the period over.

hmmmmm....... i feel like that long out of a tank with liverock and stuff would be bad for them.. i dont even have sand in my QT tank because it has living invertebrates in it (live sand) and i dont want anything to die and cause an ammonia spike !!!! soooo are they going to be okay with nothing but water??

hope you didn't leave them in that long! copper is used for only 14 days max.
