how long until they open?

I received a frag pack shipment yesterday in the mail after overnight shipment and today about half of the polyps are opening. Is it normal for some of the polyps to stay closed a while? Are they still adapting from the shipment and/or my tank and lighting? Thanks.

Yes.... I have seen some on here say to turn on actinics only as this doesn't stress them as much...

That's pretty normal, if half are opening already that's a good sign...

All lights off, in my tank. I can't remember who on here was saying they use actinics only on the first day... but seems to work well for that person anyway. I do all lights off just because I figure, for the investment I make, I can have a bit of patience :lol:

how long does it nomally take after a shipment to get fully acclimated...days? I have a three frags that i still havent seen anything out of. I dont mean to get annoying just wonderig what colors are in there lol...it was purchase as a frag pack with colors chosen by the sender.

Did you do a freshwater dip on them? If so they might stay closed up a little longer. I would say give them another day.
