How many clams?

Is there a rule to how many clams you can have in a tank? I like several different color forms, and have seen tanks with a few different ones. Just didnt know if there were any rule about it. Thanks

I know clams need phyto, and light, but maybe someone can answer this. How do you add nitrates to the tank or do they really need it. I have a 3inch crocea now, but i would also like a blue and a gold maxima as well. I just need to know if you can have to many clams. Thanks

I don't think so. I think that clams over 3 inches are primarily photosynthetic for feeding. What kind of lights do you have?
