How Many Dwarf Hermits in a 75G?

I'm thinking of using some dwarf hermit crabs as part of my clean up crew for a 75G mixed reef that I'm starting. I've never had hermits before as I've always been worried that they will cause trouble, so I don't know how many would be a good starting number. Thanks!

None? If you're worried they'll cause trouble, just don't use them. I prefer snails by far.

Hehe, thanks for the reply! That was basically my opinion, but my husband really likes them and is being very supportive of this hobby, so I was thinking I'd put some in for him.

I've read that some species don't harass much provided you have enough extra shells for them. Not true?

Snails can do alot better than the crabs will clean up, but if your husband would like some, about 6 dwarf blue legs would not hurt anything and would be comical to watch. Just be sure to place extra shells in there for them to grow into so that they leave your snails alone.

My hermits are what i like most. They are very fun to watch and people said when i asked that they may kill some snails etc etc....I had a few snails die from something but they are cheap and replaceable.
