How many fish for sps dominated tanks?

I currently have 4 small juvenile fish in a 60g system that's a mixed reef but sps dominate and everything is doing good color wise, but looking for better growth. Current list is 2 juvenile clowns, 1 clown goby, and a cherub Pygmy. I do feed semi heavy for how many fish I have but I have a massive cuc and no nitrates of any sort. I'm wondering if my corals would benefit from more fish poop, and if so how many fish do you guys think I should work towards?

Why do you think number of fish determines coral growth rates? Have you considered your lighting specifically Kelvin rating?

I didn't say or mean to imply it was a determining factor, just looking to see if there's a general consensus as to a good amount of bio load for sps tanks is all.

I totally understand where you are coming from as far as having the exact right amount of fish in the system to help with coloration and growth of SPS. I think you could do well by adding 2-3 more fish as long as they arent all tangs.

I have 15 fish in my 120 and it is SPS dominate and my colors are great. They were great with 6 T5's and they are even better with 4ooW MH and 4 T5's

why is that ? I dont think u can make a general comment like that ...
and why no tangs ? they stop growth of SPS ?

the number and kind of fish, depends on how much they will be fed, and the filtration of the system. basically "how much bioload can a certain filtration method take care of"

I meant if he is going to add 2-3 more fish make sure they arent ALL tangs as they seem to produce much more waste and the fact that his tank is only 60 gallons.

I had 10 fish in my 60 cube and had amazing growth and colors. I was running biopellets though. Now I have 6 fish in my 40g and would probably not add any more. The short answer is, probably.

Anything pictures?

Ive been planning to do a Kessil + T5 hybrid.

Right now I just have the kessils hung with the sunpower behind it a little. Its basically a test run, and if all goes as planned Ill be cutting into the ati fixture to mount the kessils.

I have 8 fish in my 30 gallon:eek: I also run a kessil hybrid, but with a 250 radium halide. Great combo! Nice tank BTW!

you definitely need more fish...just based on the FTS. I see no fish at all!:lol2:

You just need to know what your looking for. There's a little yellow clown goby on the Christmas favia on the sandbed towards the right, a clown on the back wall to the left and a tang that's a temp residence in the arch on the right.
