How many fish in a QT?

Looks like I introduced some Ick through live sand. I have a 90 gallon tank currently with a 3in regal tank, flame angel and false perk clown. I have invertebrates in the main tank. All I have is a 10 gallon qt tank. Is it possible to put them all in there?

Also, only the tang is showing signs. Should I assume everyone will get it or just transfer the fish that are showing signs. Also is there a period I should wait to see if the fish can kick it on its own?

You can't cure ich in a tank once it gets in the tank without treating ALL the fish. Its not an ideal situation, but your 10 gallon may have to serve the purpose. If you can buy a large food-grade Rubbermaid container it would be better. If your Qtank is not cycled then you are going to be making a lot of large frequent water changes.

My first choice would be to treat in quarantine with hyposalinity. Use an accurate hydrometer and check the pH and salinity daily. You can then use some Poly Filter by Poly Bio Marine to help control the ammonia and nitrite since you are not addng a chemical treatment.

I do have a 18 gallon rubbermaid that I use to mix water. I'm not sure how I'd set up the filtration. All I have is a spare powerhead I doubt that is enough. I'm not sure a hang on would work.
